Aberlour Forest Reserve, a 10-year-old single malt from the Aberlour distillery! It spends most of its maturation in bourbon and sherry casks from Jerez, before being finished in casks made of French Limousin oak. It's named Forest Reserve as a nod to the distillery's commitment to preserve the forest in the Speyside area where the distillery resides.
Aroma of fresh oak, with a lemon hue, orange peel and strawberry jam, with hints of vanilla pod.
The flavour of melon leads into toffee sweetness, praline and fluffy raisins, with vanilla oak and dried herbs.
The finish - sugared ginger and black pepper, with oaty and raisin biscuits.
