Lagavulin 16 YO is so beloved around the world because it is powerful yet has a very drinkable smokiness. You will be greeted by a distinct maritime nose that transports you directly to the southern coast of Islay. Rocks in the surf, sea spray, kelp. All of this is perfectly combined with caramel, charred wood, vanilla, dried fruits and orange marmalade. And of course, the typical smokiness characteristic of Lagavulin “caresses” the taste buds and gives this malt warmth and weight.
