Aberlour Forest Reserve, a 10-year-old single malt from the Aberlour distillery! It spends most of its aging in bourbon and sherry casks from Jerez, before being finished in French Limousin oak casks. It is called Forest Reserve as a nod to the distillery's commitment to preserving the forest in the Speyside area where the distillery resides.
With aromas of fresh oak, linden blossom, orange peel, and strawberry jam, with particles of vanilla pod.
The taste of melon leads into toffee sweetness, pralines, and plump raisins, with vanilla oak and dried herbs.
The finish – candied ginger and black pepper, with oatmeal and raisin cookies.
