Aberlour Forest Reserve, a 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour distillery! It spends most of its aging in bourbon barrels and sherry casks from Jerez, before being finished in French Limousin oak casks. It's called Forest Reserve as a nod to the distillery's commitment to preserving the forest in the Speyside region where the distillery resides.
With aromas of fresh oak, lemon blossom, orange zest, and strawberry jam, with specks of vanilla pod.
The taste of melon leads into toffee sweetness, pralines, and plump raisins, with vanilla oak and dried herbs.
Finish - candied ginger and black pepper, with oatmeal and raisin biscuits.
