Aberlour Forest Reserve, 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour Distillery! It spends most of its aging in bourbon barrels and sherry casks from Jerez, before being finished in French Limousin oak barrels. Named Forest Reserve, a nod to the distillery's commitment to preserve the forest in the Speyside region where it resides.
Aromas of fresh oak, with lemon blossom, orange zest and strawberry jam, with hints of vanilla pod.
Melon flavor leads to toffee sweetness, pralines and plump raisins, with vanilla oak and dried herbs.
Finish - crystallized ginger and black pepper, with oatmeal and raisin cookies.
