Aberlour A’Bunadh
€12,00
The Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming, who had 10 years of experience at Dailuaine (Dalyunn). At first glance "A'Bunadh" sounds strange, but the word actually comes from Gaelic and means origin. Aberlour A'Bunadh was created to honour the long history of the distillery and its founder, using authentic 19th-century distillation methods – no cold filtration and bottled at cask strength – 60% ABV or more. The whisky has no age statement, but it contains a vatting of various whiskies aged from 5 to 25 years and matured in Oloroso sherry casks.
This offering has won many awards - Silver Medal, Best Single Malt Scotch Whiskies No Age Statement (NAS), World Whiskies Awards 2019. Aberlour A'Bunadh is produced in limited batches and on the label of each bottle, the batch number from which it comes is marked.
Colour of amber with ruby nuances.
Aroma of dark chocolate and spices.
Taste of rich sherry, citrus fruits, lime and grapefruit.
The finish is long with oak, chocolate, dark fruits.
