Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera is a unique single malt, matured in three different types of casks - from Portuguese sherry, American bourbon, and new, still unused ones, before being brought together in the handcrafted Solera vats.
The Solera system is characterised by fractional blending in the cask over the years of maturation, thus maintaining the perfect quality of the whisky (the system is used for making sherry and brandy in Spain).
Colour- Gold with a red hue
Aroma- Honey of Pyrenees, mountain fruits and vanilla.
Taste- Incredibly smooth texture, unfolding layers of sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger. Full-bodied, packed with flavours.
Finish- Candied fruits, raisins, and Christmas pudding. The oak takes over in the end.
