The GlenAllachie 12YO
€14.00
The GlenAllachie is a relatively young distillery. It was created in 1967 with the main goal to produce malt that is used in blends.
It was designed by William Delmé-Evans, who is also behind the creation of Jura and Tullibardine. The people behind GlenAllachie are by no means accidental – the distillery brings together Trisha Savage, who worked for Burn Stewart and BenRiach, Graham Stevenson, former managing director of Inver House Distillery, and of course – Billy Walker and GlenAllachie Distillers Company. The 12-year-old GlenAllachie was created by this star team and has been on the market since 2018. It has passed through three different casks – Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez and virgin oak, personally selected by Billy Walker. This combination gives a pleasant spiciness and plenty of oaky aromas.
Color - Red ruby.
Aroma - Vanilla notes with hazelnut and perceptible nuances of oak.
Taste - Nuances of fruit pie and vanilla. Chocolate.
Finish - Strong finish with oak, hazelnut and just a hint of citrus.
