€7.50
Woodford Reserve at 43.2% ABV (86.4 Proof) is the standard international version of their flagship bourbon (Distiller's Select).
Interestingly, in the United States, the same bourbon is typically bottled at 45.2% ABV (90.4 Proof). The 43.2% version is more common in Europe and duty-free shops, but the profile and quality remain high.

Unlike many other bourbons, Woodford Reserve uses a unique production process:
Triple Distillation: Traditional copper pot stills are used, which is rare for American whiskey and imparts greater purity and elegance to the spirit.
Mash Bill: Contains 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. The rye gives it a mild spiciness without being too aggressive.
This is an exceptionally well-balanced bourbon with a "soft" character.
Rich aroma of heavy caramel, vanilla, and honey, interwoven with notes of dried fruits (apricot, raisin) and a subtle hint of leather.

The taste is smooth and complex. You will perceive a balance between the sweetness of butterscotch and spice like cinnamon and clove, complemented by roasted nuts and a light oakiness.
The finish is long, silky, and warm, with a slightly creamy feel.

Woodford Reserve is the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby horse race. By tradition, the "Mint Julep" cocktail is served there, made specifically with this whiskey.
